Synopsis
A Rogue For Every Lady

London, 1817: Stuck in a Mayfair ballroom, thanks to his lovestruck brother, Highlander Arran MacLawry wants nothing but a bit of distraction from an arranged betrothal—and a clever auburn-haired lass in a vixen’s mask promises just that . . . until he discovers that she’s the granddaughter of the Campbell, chief of clan MacLawry’s longtime rival. Despite their families’ grudging truce, falling for fiery Mary Campbell is a notion too outlandish even for this Highlander…

The Thrill Of The Forbidden

Raised on tales of savage MacLawrys, Mary is stunned to realize the impressively strapping man in the fox’s mask is one of them. Surely the enemy shouldn’t have such a broad chest, and such a seductive brogue? Not that her curiosity matters—any dalliance between them is strictly forbidden, and she’s promised to another. But with the crackling spark between them ready to catch flame, love is worth every risk…

Mary Campbell arrives at a masked ball, and meets a rogue with a mask that matches hers and after sharing a dance together, she is captivated, there is only one problem….her family are against any association with him. Arran MacLawry, has no idea of the true identity of his mysterious fox, but when he learns of her true identity, he can’t help but be fascinated. Even though his brother forbids him to cause any trouble especially with the Campbells….he knows it may be harder than just staying away from the one woman that stirs his blood. Even though Mary knows she needs to stay away from Arran, she can’t help but keep meeting him, sharing lunch together, and when they share a soul searing kiss, she is hooked. Then when the unimaginable happens, and she is stuck between a rock and hard place, she turns to the only man who cares for her, a man that she adores more than life and will risk her families wrath for a chance to share the rest of her life with that rogue in a kilt….

Rogue With A Brogue is the second book in the series, and even though I haven’t read the first book, I knew I had to try this one, when It became available to me through Netgalley. And I will admit I did a little happy dance when I was able to download it and start reading it. The previous series by Suzanne Enoch I have had a difficult time reading, so I was a bit unsure how I would enjoy this one. But I felt well it has sexy highlanders in kilts…how can I resist? And what I fun and wild adventure this story was. The story is set in the early 1800’s and begins in London. But what begins in London doesn’t stay there for very long. Mary and Arran once they find out how much they feel for each other, decide to risk everything to be together. In the first part of the story, you see it leading up to that point, and I loved seeing these two flirt and connect on both a physical and emotional level. I love stories with huge conflicts….and this one had a huge one and it fits well with the story and the style of the authors storytelling.

The characters are very passionate and intriguing, and I feel like Suzanne Enoch has gotten her groove back, this story seemed so much more like her older books that I have come to adore and cherish. Both the main and side characters were deeply entrenched into the story, and the more you read the more you fall in love. With each page I felt like I was being immersed more and more into the story that takes you back in a time of warring families, sexy brogues, gorgeous men in kilts, and a romance to stop your heart!!! CHARM AND WIT WITH EACH PAGE!!!
