Synopsis
Can A Scandalous Beginning…

Janice Sherwood wants to marry for love, but she’s failed to make a match after two Seasons. Her parents, the Marquess and Marchioness of Brady, arrange to send her to the Duke of Halsey’s country estate as a short-term guest of his grandmother, the dowager, in hopes that she might win the duke’s affections. What they never could have imagined is that Janice would fall for the ruggedly handsome servant, Luke, who lives in the stables and carries an air of mystery and temptation.

Lead To A Fairy-Tale Ending?

When Luke Callahan learns that he is the legitimate heir to a dukedom, he will stop at nothing to claim what is his. But first, he must begin a game of disguise to secure his rightful inheritance. Janice isn’t part of his plan. But by engaging her in this dance of deception, might he lose her forever?

My Review

Janice Sherwood has been coerced by her parents, to seek the attention of the Duke of Halsey, and see if she can gain a marriage from him. Janice has suffered through her seasons and has yet to find a man to marry. So she feels like this is her last chance. When she arrives though, she stumbles across a handsome groom, Luke Callahan, who has a rough exterior but with his penetrating eyes, she knows that he is the one her heart has been dreaming for. At first she refuses to give in to the feelings she has for Luke, knowing that it could lead to no where good. But when he needs her help, she is willing to aid him even if she doesn’t know his real reasons. But soon she will have to make a difficult choice, a choice that could cost her the one man she loves more than life itself.

Say Yes To The Duke is the third in the series, and I do love this author, and this series has been such fun so far. I have been waiting for Janice’s story ever since I read the first book. This series is about one family, the “house of Brady” and what a fun ride it has been so far. In this story we  see a bit of a “forbidden love” aspect involved. Although after reading it, it felt like there was a lot more to it than that. From the beginning we see such a strong connection between Janice and Luke. Luke is a bit of a scoundrel, and a pretty tough hero. He has a tough past and is trying to reclaim what was stolen from him.  Janice is a very endearing heroine, and I grew to like her with every page being read. She is strong willed, tenacious and a fighter and a perfect match for Luke. These two were a wonder to see together, and there was a feeling of magic in their romance. A romance that was addicting and more than charming. A truly commendable author that writes a romantic tale of witty humor, enticing characters and a sexy plot. A delightful romp to make you giddy from beginning to end!

Synopsis
Who will be the first to surrender?

An Affair To Remember

Handsome, charismatic, and on the verge of becoming a successful architect, Gregory Sherwood, Lord Westdale, could have just about any woman he wants. So why rush to marry? So far there’s only been one woman he’s ever truly loved. But that was before she had a secret affair with his best friend…with the help of an unwitting accomplice named Lady Pippa Harrington.

A Passion Too Good To Deny

Pippa may not have acted in her old friend Gregory’s best interests, but she’s always believed that the heart sets its own rules. This is why Pippa must escape her arranged marriage—fast—by fleeing to Paris, where she hopes to pursue her artistic passions. To do so, Pippa will need all the help she can get—from Gregory, the one man she isn’t sure she can trust…or resist…

My Review
Summary

Now Gregory has returned, and Pippa has yet to forget him or the passionate kiss they shared. However Pippa has her own dreams of being a sugar sculptural and to go to Paris to learn the craft. When she has a near mishap with a man who tries to force her into marriage, she escapes only to find herself rescued by none other than Gregory. Gregory is working on becoming a architect, recently returned from America, he has plans for hims. Those specific plans do not include rescuing Pippa from a dangerous situation. At first he plans on returning her to her aunt and uncle, but there is something that keeps him from doing so. He has always cared about Pippa, but there is a certain quality that draws him to her, and he can’t resist keeping her at his side, and this time he wants forever with her.

My Thoughts
Its has been quite some time since I have been able to read anything from this author, but I have to say after reading this I remember why I liked her writing style and her endearing stories so much. The Earl is Mine is the second in the House of Brady series (which the family, at least names wise, is based on the “Brady Bunch” which is a very unique twist to things). There was also a certain twist to circumstances, that I almost didn’t see coming. I have always loved Kramer’s voice, its so enchanting with the type of stories that are set in Regency England but give it a fresh and spirited spin that makes the stories come alive. I found I enjoyed Pippa as the heroine. She has a high spirited nature, and is willing to do whatever it takes to make her dreams come true. She was very easy to like and even relate to in a personal way. Gregory I fell in love with instantly, he is charming, and brooding at times, but I just couldn’t resist my liking him in any way, despite how frustrated I came at times with him, but he is a male, so I forgive him anyway.  There was also such a enjoyable flair for the dramatics at times between Gregory and Pippa that made it a delightful ride of witty humor, sensual passion, and an appealing story line that instantly draws you into her clever style of writing that makes you fall in love from the first page. Plus a few surprised here and there that definitely sent a shiver down my spine (but in a very Good way 🙂 Such a charming and witty read that had me captivated from the first to the last page.

First Line
The figure who slid into the Earl of Westdale’s coat every morning wasn’t happy.

Favorite Quote
“I’m not going to surrender, no matter what. So what are we going to do for ten minutes?”
Oh, he knew it was wrong. But she annoyed him mightily, the stubborn little spitfire, and he was cold and tired–and she looked outrageous in that cravat. So he yanked one end loosed and pulled her toward him. “We’re going to kiss each other,” he murmured, “and you’re going to like it.”

Synopsis

HE’S ALWAYS BEEN A PLAYER.
Dashing Lord Harry Traemore is perfectly content to live out his days in the pursuit of pleasure. But when he’s named by the Prince Regent as one of society’s “Impossible Bachelors,” Harry is drafted into a ribald romantic wager. The rules of engagement are scandalously simple: The bachelor whose mistress wins the title of “Most Delectable Companion” gets to remain unmarried. Harry is utterly unconcerned about his status…until his latest lightskirt abandons him.

WHO WILL WIN THIS GAME OF LOVE?
Enter Lady Molly Fairbanks. Harry’s childhood friend — actually, “foe” is more like it — is the most unlikely companion of all. She’s attractive but hot-headed, and in no mood for games. Besides, what could the self-indulgent Harry possibly know about what makes a woman delectable? It’s time for Molly to teach him a lesson once and for all…but will it lead to “happily ever after?”

MY REVIEW
Summary:
Lord Harry is enjoying his contented life of pleasure and not having the pressure of getting married and living up to the obligation of family. When Harry is named by “Prinny” as one of society’s Impossible Bachelors,  he is then drawn into a wager, forced by the Prince Regent himself, to have the most Delectable Companion, and whoever wins the title gets to remain unmarried. Lady Molly, planned on going to Gretna Green to get married, because she has no other alternative other than be a spinster, but then at the Inn on their way to Scotland…he abandons her with Harry’s (childhood foe) mistress. Harry then convinces her since they were both abandoned, that she become his fake mistress and if they win then he will aid her in finding a husband in London. But what begins as a silly wager turned into a love affair that may lead to a happily ever after for the both of them….

The Hero (Harry Traemore)
Harry, even though he is saved from being forced to marry as he isn’t the oldest of the family, has always felt not loved or appreciated by his father, but his relationship with his brother makes up for some of it. Harry has no wish for matrimony, having seen it turn into something that will just make you miserable in the end. But then when Harry becomes desperate, and convinces Molly into this scheme of his, he never thought that it would be one of the most adventurous and surprising periods of his life to that point…and that she will be the one to break the ice around his heart.

The Heroine (Molly Fairbanks)
Molly, is determined to free herself of her current life by eloping with Cedric, even if he is a bore, atleast she wont remain a spinster.  Her father wasn’t around much and sent her to a school which she abhorred more than anything, and Molly craves freedom and a chance at love.  Then she is abandoned and has not much choice to accept Harry’s proposition, but never knew that this road she has taken would lead her to true love….

My Thoughts
When Harry Met Molly is the first in this series by Kieran Kramer. This is the first that I have read from this author, and I just love discovering new authors. I did acquire this book at the library, and I am so glad that I did. At first it was a little challenging to get into the book, but once I had read a few chapters I was totally enthralled by the story, that I had a hard time pulling away. There was such a fun and carefree feeling to this book. The characters were delightful, sparring and playful but from the very beginning you can tell there is a connection between them. Overall a Delicious and adorable delight!!!!

My Favorite Quote
Molly could hardly breathe when Harry put his lips on hers. He pressed her back against the door to her bedchamber, sliding his hands up the door to pin her between his arms. It was a delicious trap she had no desire to escape.
