Synopsis

Notorious, handsome, and decadent, the Lords of Vice break rules and hearts with equal aplomb. But what if one woman is on to their game—and the player becomes the played?

One Stolen Kiss

Young, tender, and highly impressionable, Lady Regan can’t help but be intrigued by her brother’s wayward friends—the wickedly charming Lords of Vice. One man in particular, the dashing Lord Hugh Mordare  (known simply as “Dare” among the ton), utterly captivates her—in spite of his reputation as a notorious womanizer. But when she steals an innocent kiss from Dare, Regan is swiftly packed off to boarding school, safely away from danger…and desire.

One Sweet Seduction

Five years later, Regan returns—a proper lady and ravishing beauty. Miss Swann’s Academy for Young Ladies has taught her how to behave in polite society. But all the training in the world cannot extinguish her love for Dare. Now, she hopes to beat the master of seduction at his own game—by daring Dare to love her in return. This time, both of their hearts are on the line…and winner takes all

My Review

Lady Regan, was raised by her brother, a member of the Lords of Vice. As such she grew up learning to climb trees, fishing, fencing lessons and gambling. Regan is not your typical English miss. But when Regan and “Dare” are caught kissing, her brother sends her away to school and for five years she has been patient. Regan was hurt when her brother sent her away, and from the only family she has ever known. Now she is ready to take part of the Season, and put her brother in his place a bit, and seduce Dare and show him what she is made of. Dare was betrayed by the only woman he ever loved, who married his brother because he was the “heir”. Dare is the second son,  and has been a member of the Lord of Vice, but there is one woman who has held his interest more than any other, but she is forbidden, but when she comes back to London, and he is forced to escort her, passions between them are inflamed and this time it won’t be just desire than could be dangerous to them…

After Dark With A Scoundrel is the third installment in the Lords of Vice series. I am very proud of myself for having read this series in order so far….I hope I can keep going strong. I have the worst habit of reading a series out of order. But since all of the books are at my local library, I decided to try this one in order. In this book we have Dare’s book, and we have Regan as the heroine. Now I will say that if you have yet to read this author, and you love historical romance and you want to get started into historical romance…this series just might be for you. I feel like this author is underrated, but as far as regency romances go, this author is at the top of the list. You can never go wrong with Alexandra Hawkins.

We begin with bit of bad luck for Regan. Regan is a bit of a tom boy, and has a connection and bond with all of the Lords of Vice, and you see the close ties she has with them. AT the beginning she is only fifteen, and through a twist of events, she ends up in a sensual embrace with Dare, which she doesn’t expect but that kiss changes her. When her brother forces her to school, she is furious and hurt. Now we skip ahead five years, Regan is still just as mischievous and sassy as ever, five years at school hasn’t changed her personality, she just has a better way of seeming to be more polished. She is determined to come to London and make some changes in her life. Her first goal is to show up with no notice to her brother, and to seduce the one man she craves. This heroine…was so fun, and she definitely has the type of personality you can just enjoy while reading her. This story definitely had me laughing, and the kind of creative schemes she comes up with, and then join that up with her wit and sass…well she is a heroine you can adore.

This is a story that brings together steamy chemistry, full of life characters, enticing mystery, a enchanting mix of flavors and spices to make you hunger for more. WICKEDLY SENSUAL!!

Synopsis

Few women can resist a man like Gabriel “Reign” Housely, the Earl of Rainecourt. With divine good looks, delectable charms, and delicious wealth, he would seem to be every marriage-minded mother’s dream match for their daughters. But not so, given the mysterious death of his first wife. Fortunately for Gabriel, he has no plans to seriously court any of the London ladies ever again. That is, until he shares one unforgettable dance with a mysterious stranger…

Exquisitely beautiful though decidedly modest, Lady Sophia usually shuns the festive ballrooms of London society. But when a man who calls himself “Reign” enters her life—seemingly from out of nowhere—and shows her true kindness, her wary young heart begins to melt. Of course, Sophia would be shocked to learn the truth about Reign’s past. But when scandal strikes, this devilish stranger may be her only salvation…

My Review

Reign Housely, is a man of charm and wealth, and he enjoys the pleasures of London, but there is a scandal attached to his name. Reign once fell in love with his first wife, who broke his heart, betrayed him, and was killed in a accident, but the Ton believes him to be involved somehow. Lady Sophia, is beautiful, and has finally been able to make it to London, despite the protests from her brothers. Sophia suffered from a accident as a child, when her parents were killed, and has suffered from partial blindness, and blurred vision. While at a ballroom, she meets Reign, who treats her differently than others with her certain struggles. He treats her as a real human being, and shows her kindness and desire. But when they are involved in a scandal ,they marry, but Reign may be the key to saving Sophia from a horrible fate.
Till Dawn With The Devil is a wildly entertaining read that sucked me into the story from the first page. Not many authors can pull me in like Alexandra Hawkins. This is a newer author for me, and when I read the first book in the series a few months ago, I fell in love with her writing. Her style is very compelling and endearing, and you can’t help but admire the sizzling chemistry she implements in her stories.
In Till Dawn With The Devil, the second book of Lords Of Vice, we have Reign’s story. This story encompasses a variety of issues. In the beginning of the story, we see how strong our heroine is. She is beautiful and passionate, and stubborn, she is determined to make her own way and fight her battles. She isn’t afraid of what others think of her, especially Reign. Reign is addicted to Sophia, he can’t resist her, and for the first time since his first wife’s betrayal, he feels desire and can’t stay away from her. I loved how these two came together, and their story was sweet and romantic, and such a lovely story of true love and how one night of desire and passion can change your life forever.
I found that Till Dawn With The Devil a stunning romance set in the regency period, a time of balls and parties, of scandal and formal parties, of a love found in a ballroom…a tale of intrigue and mystery, a romance that is sexy and smart….EXCEPTIONAL!!!

Synopsis
Notorious, handsome, and decadent, the Lords of Vice prowl the glittering ballrooms of Regency London– breaking rules and hearts with equal aplomb. But even the wildest rogue must eventually meet his match…

IT BEGAN AS A FAVOR…
Seduce Lady Juliana Ivers and then cast her aside: Those are his sister’s instructions. Alexius Braverton, Marquess of Sinclair–known as Sin to the ton–is happy enough to oblige, especially when he catches a glimpse of his target. Juliana is completely unlike the empty-headed chits who barely hold his attention for a week. A true gentleman would leave her to find a worthy suitor. But then, a Lord of Vice would never claim to be a gentleman.

WOULD IT END IN FOREVER?
Juliana is expected to marry well to improve her family’s finances, even if she secretly longs to make a living through her musical compositions. A dalliance can only complicate matters, though not even practical Juliana can help succumbing to the aptly named Sin. But one unforgettable night will draw her into a scandalous affair–and a seduction begun as sport will soon become deliciously, dangerously real…

My Review

Juliana, along with her two sisters, are expected to marry and soon. Her mother has saved all of their savings so that she could put her daughters into society.  At a ball one evening, Juliana escapes a suitor that can’t keep his hands off her, and ends up running into ” Sin” well known for his mistresses and his consistency in his bedding other women. Sin is intrigued by Juliana and upon their first meeting he plans on finding her again and showing her his methods of seduction. When his sisters begs him to seduce a woman who has her sights set on her lover, he reluctantly agrees to seduce her and then ruin her in society. He is shocked to discover that the woman he is supposed to ruin is the one woman who intrigued him and has been searching for. When his plans starts to proceed successfully, his heart starts to weaken with Juliana and he knows that she is his one weakness…

All Night With A Rogue is the first in the Lords of Vice series. This is also the first time that I have had a chance to read this author. I have been very intrigued by the theme of this series, and the covers are delicious to look at. So I knew I needed to try it, so finally I was able to obtain a copy of this one and I was super excited to read it. For the most part I did enjoy this story, there was quite a few sparks between this couple and the story was very intense at times. The conflict isn’t too obvious until the later half and then the plot really thickens and the story picks up speed quite a bit and before you realize it you have to finish it as soon as possible. I enjoyed seeing how this story plays out, there is quite a bit of romance and intense emotions that are displayed. The beginning of the story starts off pretty well, with a sensual scene with Juliana and Sin’s first meeting, which definitely blew me away. I was fascinated by these two characters from the beginning. I did feel as if the flow of the story felt a bit off, it was like riding a train with multiple of stops and not exactly the smoothest of rides. The characters really surprised me and did I ever love this bad boy “sin” he sounded good enough to eat. Juliana was likable enough, but I felt she could have had more backbone in certain areas of the story, I definitely wanted to bang my head against the wall in some instances with her making certain decisions, you want to ring her neck. But other times where you felt a feeling of charm toward her. Mixed feelings I definitely felt in this story, which made it a more fulfilling read by the time I finished it.

Overall though it was a intensely packed romance that is full of sizzling passion, intriguing characters, and one thrill of a ride!! SATISFYING!
