Synopsis
Regency England Has Gone To The Wolves!

It Takes A Beast…

Grayson Hadley is in his own special hell—being treated like a wayward pup by the tutor employed to turn him into a true gentleman. So when he meets a hot-blooded American beauty with the mark of a Lycan, he’s only too glad to slip his leash.

To Bring This Lady To Heel

Accustomed to running wild in the swamps of Louisiana, Miss Liviana Mayeux is shipped off to her grandfather’s in London to learn a thing or two about polite society. At first she scoffs at the English Lycans’ apparent tameness. Little does Livi realize how very close she is to unleashing the passion that lies just beneath the surface.

My Review

Grayson Hadley, is just wanting to be free from his brothers and alpha’s orders, to be tutored so he can learn to not cause any sort of scandal. Gray will do anyhing to be free. Livi Mayeux, half were, has been ordered by her father to go to England and find a suitable husband with her grandfather’s help. In America she was free to run and spend time with her brothers, and play in the bayou. Now she feels imprisoned in her grandfather’s home, a gilded cage and she just wants to return home. Gray going with his mother, make a visit, where he meets a spirited american beauty, one who stirs his blood. She is frank, bold, and daring, and she calls to his wolf like none other. Gray has been doing everything he can to escape the ball and chain, but when a desire threatens to consume them, Gray will have to fight for what he wants, no matter the cost…

Wolfishly Yours is the most recent and latest release in the series….and can I just say STELLLAR!! I loved this book so much!!! I think I enjoyed it way more than the pervious book “The Wolf Who Loved Me”. This story has so much going for it. It starts out a little slower pace than I am used to with this author, but as the story progresses, it only gets more fascinating and even more amazing and keeps pulling the reader in with each chapter. As I kept chugging along, I felt like it only got better the more I read. There was so much I enjoyed about this latest installment, and I think Gray may be my favorite brother. Grayson, is a scoundrel with wolfish tendacies. He is a fighter, hates the rules, and despises being tamed like a dog with his tail tucked between his legs. Livi, feels betrayed by her family, and only aches for freedom. She knows that her life is changing way too swiftly. All she wants is to return back to New Orleans, that is until she meets Gray. A man whose taste for freedom rivals her own. A man whose kisses makes her feel like she can soar.

A riveting romantic tale, a story of magical fun, tender sensuality, witty characters to give you barrels of laughs, and a story that becomes more enchanting with each page!! DELIGHTFULLY WOLFISH!!

My Review

The Wolf Who Loved Me is the fifth book in this series by Lydia Dare, and oh boy did I just adore this one. I think it might be one of my favorites, although I think Dash’s book I liked a little bit more, but this installment had such character and personality to the story, that by the end of the book, you are left with satisfaction but wishing the story had never ended. The Wolf Who Loved Me is about Dash’s younger brother, Wes. Wes has loved Maddy from afar, but then one evening on the full moon when he changes into a wolf, Maddie finds him and he can’t let her go free. So he chases her into the woods, and forces her to go up to Gretna Green to marry him. Wes, is one of those heroes, that you want his happily ever after, because he just sticks to your heart like glue. I just loved Wes, he is the epitome of that hero that is commanding, possessive, but at the heart is sweet and daring. I love how bold he is, and not afraid of life, he goes at it with full throttle–which tends to get him into big trouble, but what a fun wild ride it is getting to know him. Maddie is his equal in every way. She is sheltered and a bit spoiled, but you see from the beginning that she is just as vulnerable and kind hearted as Wes. She is searching for love and not someone that just wants her for her fortune. These two were one kind of a pair. It was such fun seeing these two join forces and enter in a ride of adventure, tension and intrigue with a mix of witty humor to keep you laughing for weeks. TASTEFUL AND DELICIOUS!!!

But Dashiel is determined to follow her—she’s the only woman who can free him from a fate worse than death. And Caitrin will ultimately have to decide whether she’s running from danger, or true love

My Review

The Taming Of The Wolf is the fourth in the Westfield Wolves series, and would probably be ranked as one of my favorites so far of this author. Dashiel Thorpe, is a sexy hero, who has you wrapped around his finger from the first chapter. Dash is definitely everything you love about a hero, and I loved the conflict this couple is faced with. I found this story to be endearing and full of charm and sensual tension. Dashiel Thorpe, when he first meets Cait, bites her and without fully realizing it he claims her as his mate. When she flees, he follows her up to Scotland, and a dance of seduction begins. I loved Cait, she has spunk and is very creative in her ways of dealing with Dash, and it was such fun reading their story. It was fun, adventurous, witty and riveting. The story completely draws you in, the powerful connection that is evident between this couple is intoxicating. The characters are endearing. This story is packed with pure sexy fun with a  hint of sensuality, and a perfect blend of historical setting and paranormal romance that will capture your heart!!!  A GEM OF A READ!!

First Line
Caitrin Macleod vowed never to step foot in England again–or at the very least, to keep her distance from Lycans in the future.

Favorite Quote
” I dinna ask ye ta come.”
“But I came anyway because you’re my intended mate,” he growled. “I know it. You know it. Even your father knows it. So stop being difficult,”

Synopsis
In Lydia Dare’s debut trilogy, Regency England has gone to the wolves!

They can’t even be in the same room together…

Ever since their failed elopement years ago, Prisca Hawthorne has taunted, insulted, and in every way tried to push him away. If only her heart didn’t break every time Lord William Westfield left her…

But staying apart is even worse…

Lord William throws himself into drinking, gambling, and debauchery and pretends not to care about Prisca at all. But when he returns to find a rival werewolf vying for her hand, he’ll stop at nothing to claim the woman who should have been his all along.

Can Prisca forgive the unforgivable, or are the moon-crossed lovers going to be forced into a battle of wills that could be fatal?

My Review

Prisca Hawthorne has loved Lord William for years, but when he broke her heart years ago, she hasn’t ever forgotten. She knows that she needs to put him behind her, and move on with her life. Prisca is tired of living in a “limbo” stage. So when a new charming stranger starts to court her, she wonders if this is her time to start a new chapter in her life, until Lord William strides back into her life and makes it much more complicated. William has wanted Prisca for years, and he made a mistake years ago, and he still desires her for his mate; even though she frustrates him to no end. But when he hears of a new man trying to seduce her, he is outraged of another male pouncing on his territory.  Soon Prisca has two men trying to court her, and even though William makes her blood heat, she knows she could never trust him again. But will her strength of will be enough to resist him once again?

The Wolf Next Door is the third in the series, and I just have loved the books that I have read so far. In the previous books I have seen William and Prisca battle it out with each other and I have been looking forward to reading their story. The Wolf Next Door is a story set in the regency era, and it also involves Lycans and witches. I have enjoyed Lydia Dare’s take on the series, and the unique setting she has placed this series in. Even though Prisca has known William and his family for many years, she has no idea of his family secret. William is back home, and is determined to win Prisca back. He has always loved Prisca, but when a misunderstanding broke her trust in him, he left to try to forget her. But he has realized that he can’t live without her, so even though he has some mean competition he will take any action to keep her, and make her fall in love with him again.

The really enjoyed the characters involved in the story. We see the instant passion that William and Prisca have for each other, despite the bickering and fighting they tend to do on a regular basis. William is the hero of the story, and as the reader you can’t help but fall in love with him. From the first two books, I have always found Will intriguing, and the way he deals with Prisca is priceless. He definitely has many alpha traits, and beyond sexy. Prisca is very strong willed and feisty, and I enjoyed her bickering with Will. Even though she isn’t my favorite heroine, I did enjoy the characteristics of this heroine, and she doesn’t let William’s nature overcome her feelings to make her own decisions. I enjoyed how this story plays out, and the relationship between William and Prisca could be tense at times, yet sexy and fun at other times. Overall I couldn’t help but enjoy this delightful story of sensual tension and intriguing characters and a lively story line that will curl your toes. Not my favorite of the series, but a enjoyable and exciting story. A JEWEL OF A ROMANCE!!

Synopsis

Lord Benjamin Westfield is a powerful werewolf—until one full moon when he doesn’t change. His life now shattered, he rushes off to Scotland in search of the healer who can restore his inner beast, only to find she’s not at all what he expected…

She would make him whole, if she could…

Young, beautiful witch Elspeth Campbell will do anything to help anyone who calls upon her healing arts. Then Lord Benjamin shows up, and she suddenly discovers she may need him even more than he needs her…

My Review
Benjamin Westfield is a werewolf and couldn’t ever imagine losing his wolf. Then one night under the full moon, he doesn’t change and is at a loss as to what to do. He feels as if he has lost a huge part of himself. When he starts to investigate and research he learns of a healer in the highlands of Scotland who might be able to bring his wolf back. So he heads up to Edinburgh. Elspeth Campbell is a witch and her focus is the healing arts. She is a vital part of a coven of five witches , as close as sisters. When one of her fellow witches has a vision of a dangerous wolf that will come and take her away. When Elspeth first takes notice of Benjamin, she is charmed and instantly drawn to him. She doesn’t see danger from Ben she sees a man who is respectful and tender toward her. When she learns of his ailment and that he is actually seeking her , she only desires to heal him so his wolf may be restored. When her coven sisters try to interfere in the intimate relationship that is forming between herself and Benjamin she knows where her heart lies.

Tall Dark and Wolfish is the second book in the Westfield series. Ever since I first started reading this author I fell in love with her writing from the very beginning. There is such a tender and strong connection between the characters from the very beginning. When Benjamin and Elspeth first meet, the instant attraction between them is obvious and they don’t shy away from it, they embrace it. You see how each of them need love and I enjoyed seeing Lydia Dare taking the unique setting and the way the plot unravels. There is a slight mystery, a bit of a conflict trying to get Benjamin’s wolf back, but I found this story to be a poignant and sweet read. I enjoyed seeing how Benjamin handles the other coven witches. They definitely put him through a series of tests and he comes out on top and handles their assaults with patience.
I found that I liked the relationship between Benjamin and Elspeth. Elspeth is a sweet heroine, she doesn’t hide her feeling from Benjamin. I found her to be one of my favorite heroines. She can be strong willed when she is fighting for what she wants. But I love the gentle like quality she has about her. Benjamin is a mix between dominant wolf and yet has a gentle side when it comes to Elspeth. Even though he is determined to find his wolf, Elspeth becomes his top priority. There is a couple of misunderstandings that occur between them, and you see how stubborn they both can be. However I found it quite amusing and I loved the outcome of them working it out in the end.
Overall I couldn’t help but admire the way the author puts this story together. It is always fun seeing how she blends in the historical setting with the paranormal of shifters and witches. A unique mixture of in depth characters, romantic setting, a rich plot and a charming love story.

First Line
If Elspeth Campbell revealed how much she wanted to leave the cold, damp cave, her coven sisters would surely think she was mad.

Favorite Quote

Synopsis
In Lydia dare’s debut trilogy, Regency England has gone to the wolves! “He gets crankier and crankier as the moon gets full…”

The rules of Society can be beastly-especially when you’re a werewolf and it’s that irritating time of the month. Simon Westfield, the Duke of Blackmoor, is rich, powerful, and sinfully handsome, and has spent his entire life creating scandal and mayhem. It doesn’t help his wolfish temper at all that Miss Lily Rutledge seems not the least bit afraid of him, and in fact, may be as untamable as he is…

“A woman whose charm is stronger than the moon…”

When Lily’s beloved nephew’s behavior becomes inexplicably wild, she turns to Simon, the boy’s cousin and guardian, for help. But Simon’s idea of assistance is far different than hers, and Lily finds herself ensconced in his house and engaged to the rogue.

They both may have bitten off more than they can chew when each begins to discover the other’s darkest secrets…

My Review
Lily Rutledge has been raising her nephew ever since her sister and her husband dies in a accident. But then her sweet nephew at the age of twelve starts to dramatically change in ways that doesn’t seem very normal. After trying to reach his guardian the Duke of Blackmoor, she decides she is tired of waiting for him to reply to her endless supply of letters that she is sending him. She comes up with a plan in which he won’t be able to ignore her any longer, she show up on his very doorstep. Simon, the Duke of Blackmoor has spent his life trying to keep his beast in control. In his mind his nephew is a young boy and he has more pressing concerns. When Miss Lily shows up and starts making demands of him with no fear in her eyes it sets his beast on edge and he knows she is his downfall. When he hears that his nephew is showing dangerous signs he must step in and take full responsibility. Which will put him in close proximity to the lovely Lily and he wonders how he will be able to stop himself from fully claiming her as his mate.

This is the first book I have read from this author and I am very impressed. There is nothing more I love than my two favorite sub genres mixing together in a marvelous blend of historical and a bit of paranormal that is written in a way that brings out a sensual mix of danger and passion. I felt from the first few pages, that the authors style was so captivating I  had the hardest time putting it down. I really enjoyed seeing Simon and Lily spar, very amusing. Simon is fully Alpha Male type of hero, dark and brooding and wants control at all times. Lily has a gentle nature but has a spine of Steele, she is much tougher than she appears to be on the surface. She is like a mama bear when it comes to her nephew despite the danger she senses when she is around Simon.  There is quite a bit of involvement of Simons family which made me excited to read the rest of the series. Overall I found this one to be a good start to the series, and sets the stage for the plot quite well. There was quite a few elements to the story that made it more exciting than I imagined it would be. I loved the edge of danger that remained steadily throughout the story all the way to the end. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I got a thrill on seeing the development of their relationship. Definitely had a thrill of a ride reading this one and I can hardly wait to read the next installment in the series.
