Synopsis
For Mack McKinley and his team of GhostWalker killing machines, urban warfare is an art. But despite a hard-won knowledge of the San Francisco streets, Mack knows from experience that too many things can still go wrong. Danger was just another part of the game—and now he’s come face-to-face with a woman who can play just as tough.

She’s Jaimie, a woman with a sapphire stare so potent it can destroy a man. Years ago she and Mack had a history—volatile, erotic, and electric. Then she vanished. Now she’s walked back into Mack’s life, as a spy with more secrets than are good for her. Against all odds, she’s hooking up with Mack one more time to take on an enemy that could destroy them both, or bring them back together in one hot, no-holds-barred adrenaline rush.

My Thoughts
Ruthless Game is the eight installment in the Ghostwalker series. I just love Christine Feehan, and she is my favorite paranormal author. The Ghostwalker series are thrilling and exciting, and never a dull moment. Street Game is where we learn about another Ghostwalker team, that grew up together on the streets, learning to survive with only each other at their backs. They are all Ghostwalkers, and I loved how tightly knit they all are. Jaimie and Mack have been lovers before, but now fate has brought them together once more, where danger and intrigue are all the more intense, and the desire between them even more so than before. Such a thrilling love story, so action packed that it left me breathless till the very end!!!!

My Favorite Quote
“Like hell. Like hell I’ll stay away from you.” He stepped closer, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He burned for her. Every moment of every day. He couldn’t think straight without her. She still his mind. Made him human.

My Thoughts
Ruthless Game is ninth installment in the Ghostwalker Series written by Christine Feehan. I have just loved this series, but I think after reading this latest, that this is my favorite book in the series. I fell in love with both characters, and I think I love them both equally, Kane is very much of a more commanding man, however he has a gentle side with Rose, which I found remarkably sweet. Rose although grew up as a fighter and training to be a Ghostwalker, still wants to feel needed and cherished, and have a prince charming of her own. As always a book from the Ghostwalker series, this one was filled with danger and intrigue and a powerful love story that will sing to your heart, just as it did to mine. Christine Feehan has done it again, having me fall in love with another of her creations.

Synopsis:
Return to the world of the GhostWalkers with “the queen of paranormal romance” (USA Today) as she raises the stakes in the ultimate game of love and death …

Games should be fun, but for two expert teams across the country, they’re murder– because the winning team is the one that gets the most kills. The participants in this violent challenge are rumored to be GhostWalkers. And Kadan Montague isn’t happy about it.

Kadan is a GhostWalker and he’s determined to clear the GhostWalker name of the rumors. To do it, he’s going to need the help of psychic Tansy Meadows. But as soon as he sees her, he knows his mission will be more complicated than he imagined– and the “murder game” may not be at all what it seems.

My Review:
Tansy Meadows has grown up, having to force herself to distance from others, even her own parents. Tansy has a psychic talent-due to Dr Whitney machinations, which have caused a lot of suffering. Tansy’s talent is when she touches a object, the energy about the person that touched that object bombardes her, if its violent energy, it seeps into her mind and she has a hard time staying in control. Currently when this story starts, is she is a photographer so is up in the mountains tracking a mountain lion, since she has a affinity for animals. However, she is shocked to discover that someone has found her, needing her help with the very thing she fears that will fragment her mind forever. Kaden Montague is a Ghostwalker, and has been sent out on a mission to retrieve Tansy and use her to solve the riddle to murders that have been occuring of late, which apparently is a game, that they must solve so they can catch them before its too late, and his Ghostwalker team is compromised. First however, he has to get Tansy to agree with the plan, which she is very hesitant to do, hell even Kaden is hesitant but he knows he needs to be able to track these killers and the best person to do it is Tansy. Both Tansy and Kaden are taken on a rocky road of adventure, intrigue and passion the likes neither of them can control.

As always I have always loved reading Christine Feehan, and I could probably re read all of her books. Right now however I am working on re reading her Ghostwalker Series, I just have loved reading this series of hers with such delight and pleasure. I love the thrilling suspense, and the intense passion that rises up between the main characters of each book, and this one was no different, and even after it being the second time that I have read it, gave me a thrill. Murder Game has always been one of my favorites of this series, just because I fall in love with both Kaden and Tansy. Kaden is a Ghostwalker, military man, and appears to be a cold blooded being through and through until he meets Tansy, who softens him up like Jello. Its very amusing and satisfying to watch though, as I am sure all that have read this one understand what I mean by that. Tansy of course, has lived apart from most people because of her psychic abilities, having been part of the group of little girls that Dr. Whitney experiented on. She has to learn to deal with psychic energy, having tracked killers before, and spent some time in the hospital, has her wary of this handsome stranger. When she agree’s to help Kaden with tracking these killers, she didn’t know what was more at risk her mind becoming fragmented, or her heart doing so. However as these two lost souls connect and work together to solve this dangerous game, they also find a more dangerous game, that one of the risk of True Love. Christine Feehan has done it again, and anyone that likes a good thrilling romance will certainly fall in love with this one!

But can she trust this man with her secrets — especially when some people would kill to get their hands on them?

My Review:
Its always such a pleasure to read from Christine Feehan, of course this is my second time reading this series. I read the first in the series “Shadow Game” and now I have just finished reading “Mind Game” and what a wild crazy ride that turned out to be. Nicolas Trevane has volunteered to go and find Dahlia Le Blanc, who Lily has found. Lily has been searching for all the young girls that her father changed and tormented and then sent out into the world alone. She thinks she has finally found Dahlia who is very powerful in a psychic way. Dahlia has had to live in isolation most of her life, because she has no anchor for all the emotions that bombarde her mind; especially anger which can send her into seizures if she isn’t careful. Dahlia also goes on missions for NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigation ) She has just returned when she finds that those that raised her are dead, and one of her few friends Jesse Calhoun is being tortured for information to find her. Dahlia remains hidden, but stricken at the sight. Then she meets Nicolas who saves  and conceals her from the enemy. Dahlia has no idea how to react around this strong capable yet psychic man. Dahlia is afraid that he will get hurt because of her. Since it has happened to her whenever she has gotten close to someone. Together they join forces, for they are on the run from people who are hunting Dahlia to destroy her and her only protection is Nicolas, who is highly trained and a professional. But beneath that exterior that they have built between them a explosive passion builds between them, one they can’t explain and have never experienced. In the midst of it all, both Nicolas and Dahlia find relief in one another’s arms.  But there is still a mission to be carried out and with the help of the Ghostwalkers, Dahlia and Nicolas just might succeed if they work together as a unit.

Ever since I read the first novel from Christine Feehan, I fell in love with her writing and capabilities to protray stories that evoke such raw emotions as she does in “Mind Game”. A couple weeks ago I just had the urge to re-read the Ghostwalker Series all over again, especially since I love this series. I absolutely adored Dahlia, she has such a inner strength and fortitude. She is contantly feeling pain under the stress of all the emotional energy that attacks her constantly. Its rare for her to find relief apart from when she sleeps. But when she meets Nicolas and the other Ghostwalkers, she finds for the first time in her life relief from all the energy and a way to learn to focus it. A task that has never been accomplished. Nicolas, is the perfect Alpha Male, arrogant, strong, capable, and loves to be in command and in control. Of course he has met his match with Dahlia, who also has to be in control. They go head to head a few times in the book, which was very satisfyingly enjoyable!!! I loved the way that the characters interacted, the bantering, the passions that ignite, and a thrilling supsenseful plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat and aching for more. I had no problems with reading “Mind Game” Its definitely one of those that I can re-read over and over, and one you will never be disappointed in reading.

Together, they will be drawn deeper into the labyrinth of her father’s past … and closer to a secret that someone would kill to keep hidden.

My Review:
I have very few complaint about Christine Feehan, and I have fallen in love with the ‘Ghostwalker Series’, this is the second time that I have read Shadow Game and it was good to read this one again, and I plan on reading the rest of the series. This is the first book in the Ghostwalker Series, with Cpt. Ryland Miller and Lily Whitney has the main characters. Lily has grown up with mental abilities and is a anchor and is able to help others that have issues controlling their mental powers. Her father Peter Whitney brings her on to his latest project. Peter Whitney brought in a group of men that were in the Special Op‘s division of the military, the best of the best literally. Peter manipulated their minds so that they had mental abilities, and put them in cages in a secured location. The moment that Ryland and Lily meet, the ground shifts and there is a instant connection between them. Ryland is amazed, because the moment Lily enters the room, all the pain in his head disappears, and he is able to concentrate clearly and efficiently. Ryland and Lily have a strong connected to each other, and are able to communicate mentally, and Ryland is desperate to get his men out of their prison and be free once more. Ryland is losing one of his men slowly one at a time, and knows that he and his men must escape as soon as possible, or they will all be dead. After Peter Whitney is killed, Lily although grief stricken, finds some truths about her father and her childhood that haunts her. However, despite all that she is suffering, she manages to help Ryland and his team escape, and transfer them to her house. One of his men Jeff, is injured, and she slowly helps him recover. Together as Ryland and Lily work toward the mysterious of Lily’s past, the passion and the connection them becomes stronger and deeper than ever.
This is a exciting adventure with twists and turns of intrigue and sizziling passions and intense suspense that keep you on the edge of your seat. Definitely a page turner, and the characters both main and minor characters, thoroughly charm its readers. I found myself being drawn to both Ryland and Lily, who are both strong characters and have powerful abilities, and are able to work together to discover the mysteries of Peter Whitney. Although Ryland hates the man, he fells what Lily feels and is able to help her in her grieving for her father whom she loved. Lily however discovers a powerful secret about her childhood. Lily and other young girls had natural mental abilities, which Peter Whitney forced them to use and hurt themselves in the process. It wasn’t until Lily hurt her leg in a accident, that Peter Whitney finally faced himself and he found the other girl’s homes and raised Lily as his own. This is a deep and emotional story that will tear your heart asunder but will endear you to the story and its captivating characters. This is definitely a read you don’t want to miss out on!
