My Review

Erick Sorensson knows that his firestorm is close, because he can feeling the burning need to find her. Erick  once had a firestorm, and at first it had been going well, he had a son. But then his son turned slayer on him, and he thought he had lost his mate. Erick knows that feeling the firestorm after all of these years, means his mate has been reincarnated. At first he doesn’t want to give into this whirlwind of sensations again. Especially after losing so much before, but Eileen is so different. She is passionate, full of life and courage, and fights for those she cares about. Eileen, lately has been having some strange dreams, of a man who is a dragon but who is also her lover. Then the dream man becomes real, and her dreams change, as if she is seeing into the life of another person. Eileen gets thrust into a world of danger and intrigue, where dragons are real and very dangerous, and her life is constantly in danger. What shocks her is that the one dragon that has become her shadow, is her mate, and shows her passion and finding true love when you least expect it.

The Hero (Erick Sorrensson)
Very long ago Erick lost his mate to suicide and his only son who turned slayer. Since then he has become the leader of the Pyr, with great responsibilities. He knows its his duty to get rid of the leader of the Slayers, and that with the new arrival of his reincarnated firestorm, that he has his work cut out for him. However even though he doesn’t know what to make of Eileen, he knows she is his destiny, and that he could very well fall in love with her, because she is so much more than he could have imagined.

The Heroine (Eileen Grosvenor)
Eileen,  is a American professor and she is currently taking a break and has come to England to do some research. Where she unexpectedly runs into dragons, and her whole world changes right before her eyes. At first she is shocked, but after all the strange dreams she has had of late, she finds it not too hard to adjust to this discovery. Eileen knows she is strongly connected to Erick in ways she doesn’t yet understand. But there is something about Erick that makes her want to sizzle…

My Thoughts
Kiss of Fate is the third in the series. After reading the majority of the series so far, I was feeling antsy wanting to read Erick’s story. Erick is just “Sigh”….so seductively sexy, and is one of my all time heroes. He is very protective, enough alpha in him to satisfy any woman, but not too much to drive a woman nuts. I found him to be ‘delectable’  at times. Eileen was such a fun character to read. Even though a bit predictable, I enjoyed the little surprises here and there, and I just truly enjoyed seeing what inner strength and character she had. Even though there were times that their story was a bit on the predictable side, but I loved the flair and the suspense that kept the story rolling and keeps the reader engaged. There was also a few side stories that I found just thrilling to read. I really liked the chemistry between Erick and Eileen, but I also enjoyed the love story that is so enthralling…it did bring a few tears to my eyes. But at other times I was just laughing with the witty rapatoire that this author displays throughout the story. I found Kiss of Fate to be a lovely addition to the story, and top of the list of favorites for me. A truly compelling read that will capture the heart of every reader who enjoys a captivating romance, thrilling plot, and sexy characters.

My Favorite Quote
It made Eileen feel powerful that she could incite desire in this man who such capabilities, who had lived so long and undoubtedly seen so many women. She was glad that he saw no need to change her, just accepted her as she was. Wanted her as she was. She liked that he was tough but vulnerable, and that he trusted her enough to let her glimpse his old wounds. She appreciated that he still gave her the choice, that he didn’t just take what he wanted.
It means that she would give him more.

My Review
Summary
When challenge coins have been exchanged, Rafferty is now determined to be the one to destroy Magnus, once and for all. But when he meets Melissa Smith he is intrigued, but very suspicious of her.  When he first meets her he catches her stealing, so he doubts her. But then when he realizes that she is his firestorm, he knows he must protect her. But then he starts to realize that his firestorm is far different than any other, because  its where the ‘Darkfire’ is introduced. One which is prophesied to change everything. Even though Rafferty is unsure of Melissa, he also can’t resist the passion that rises between them….

The Hero
Rafferty, is one of the older Pyr, who has much experience on his belt. Rafferty has always been loyal to the Pyr and one of the most talented. From the moment that Melissa enters into his life, he changes. His primary goal is to protect her at all costs. His feelings for her overwhelm him, and his protective instincts go into hyperdrive whenever danger comes calling. However he also knows that she is the one he has been waiting for….His Mate.

The Heroine
Melissa, a reporter and a journalist, has recently lost a dear friend who was murdered. As such she is determined to find justice, but she never expects her world to change forever. Melissa knows that she can never have a family like she has dreamed of. But when Rafferty comes into her life, she starts to hope again, that he may be the best thing that has happened to her.

My Thoughts
Darkfire Kiss is the sixth installment of the series, and even though it was a enjoyable one, it would probably be my least favorite of the series. I just was never fully able to really get into the story very well, at least not until the end. So I was a bit disappointed since I have been looking forward to Rafferty’s story ever since I started reading the series. It didn’t flow very smoothly, not like her other books, and I didn’t enjoy it as much as the others. Overall though it was a comfortable read that one could relax with, and even I was a bit disappointed, I still enjoyed it, just not as much as the others that I have read so far. I am hoping the the next in the series I will enjoy more.

But fate has placed him in the hands of Rox, an unconventional tattoo artist who doesn’t even flinch when a shape-shifting dragon warrior suddenly appears on her doorstep. My Review
Summary
Niall is determined to destroy his twin brother and the rest of the shadow dragons who threaten everything they hold dear. But he is also in charge of training a new Pyr, who even though has lived quite a long time, has no talent whatsoever and has no idea how he has survived so long. But through him meets his firestorm, who already knows about the Pyr. Rox, has forgotten her past and has built a life for herself. She is a tattoo artist, and a very talented one at that. When she meets Niall, there is a sizzling chemistry between them, and before she realizes it she is drawn into Niall’s world. A world full of excitement, intrigue and danger. A danger that could destroy both herself and Niall and the rest of the Pyr…

The Hero
Niall, lost his twin brother long ago and now he finds that his beloved twin, is now a shadow dragon and who is attempting to steal Rox from him. He knows that he will have to let his brother go and destroy him in order to save Rox  and protect her. Niall, even though very experienced, has some inner demons to fight before he will be able to face the slayers.

The Heroine
Rox, left her family many years ago, when her mother remarried a man that threatened to make her life a living hell, and after losing her sister, she runs away and after living on the streets for a time, finds a life for herself working as a tattoo artist. Rox has always been a strong believer in second chances, and she knows she has found hers in Niall

My Thoughts
Whisper Kiss is the fifth installment in the series, and I just keep falling in love with each and every one of these books that I have been able to read. I thought that Whisper Kiss has a level of its own uniqueness, I really enjoyed seeing the interaction between Niall and Rox. Rox I fell in love with immediately, (even though I am not the biggest fan of tattoo’s) I really loved her attitude and how she sets Niall straight on some things. She has got fire and spirit and is a very endearing character. Niall is just sexy, plain and simple. One can’t help but fall in love with a man who is so willing to fight for those he loves. Overall a fun and irresistable read that will romance you from beginning to end.

Shape Shifting Romance

Synopsis
For millennia, the shape-shifting dragon warriors known as the Pyr have commanded the four elements and guarded the earth’s treasures. But now the final reckoning between the Pyr and the dreaded slayers is about to begin…

The mysterious Dragon’s Blood Elixir gives immortality to Magnus, the Pyr’s greatest enemy, and his minions—so it must be destroyed. Outcast from the Pyr because of his own dangerous impulses, Delaney will do anything to vanquish Magnus—and vows to complete a mission which will either redeem him or end his suffering.

But his plans don’t take into account his sudden firestorm—or the hot-tempered Ginger Sinclair. The firestorm reforms Delaney closer to his old self. And when Ginger learns about Delaney’s scheme, she cannot resist a strong man with a noble agenda.

My Review
Summary
Delaney, as we have seen in previous books, is a Pyr, only has been partly corrupted by ‘Magnus’, the head of the slayers, who forced him to drink a certain elixir, that has caused him to wage a war within himself. A war that he is still fighting himself, and after almost harming his brothers family, he is determined to find a way to win this inner battle. On his way to accomplish his mission, he comes across his firestorm, who makes him feel more like himself than ever before. He also knows he doesn’t have a lot of time, and that his mission could very well mean his death. However he underestimates Ginger, who is a fighter and is willing to do whatever it takes to show him the true power of the “Firestorm” and by working together they can defeat Magnus.

The Hero
Delaney, once a powerful Pyr, was corrupted by his enemy, and he doesn’t know if he will be able to win the battle that is waging within him, so he decides to destroy Magnus at all costs, even at the cost of his life. But when he comes across his Firestorm, he is overwhelmed, and at first only thinks of sating the desire, but when Ginger, follows him, he knows that there must be another way to defeat his enemy with the combined forces of the Pyr, and with the assistance of his mate…

The Heroine
Ginger, owns a farm but one night out on the town with friends, she meets a man, that takes her breath away. After spending a delicious night in his arms, she knows he is one of a kind, and when she wakes up alone, she goes after him. Ginger refuses to lose the one man that she knows is a keeper. But she is in over her head when she realizes who Delaney truly is, a Dragon, who she is madly in love with…

My Thoughts
Winter Kiss was such a fun and exciting story. I just fell in love with Ginger from the very beginning, she had spunk and attitude and I loved it!! Delaney, at times I didn’t like especially in the beginning, where he basically finds his firestorm and just plans on sating it and leaving her pregnant and alone. That part I didn’t like but as the story plays out, you start to like him more and more. From previous books we see the struggle that Delaney has gone through, so I truly loved reading his story, and I thought Ginger was just perfect for him. Winter Kiss is a truly fantastic story that will steal your heart, a tale of love and adventure, and that anything worthwhile is worth fighting for.

The Hero

She knows that what they have may not last, and she only wants to savor it, but only when she embraces who she truly is, will she be able to save Quinn and herself from harm.

My Thoughts
Kiss Of Fire is the first in the series, and I have found a new series that I have fallen in love with. After reading Kiss of Fury, I knew I had to read the first book, and I am so glad I was able to. Kiss Of Fire, was just as enticing as Kiss Of Fury. I really liked seeing the romance that develops between Quinn and Sara. There was something very precious about the way this story is written. I really enjoyed how the author creates a world of dragons, both good and evil dragons, and we see the makings of a war between the two, and meanwhile a development of a romance. I really enjoyed the way the author made the story flow so well, and her descriptions of the world that she creates. There is such a sense of magic and mystery about this series, and I truly enjoyed the unique quality of this story, and the way the author draws the reader in. A Well executed story filled with romance, passion, adventure, fun characters, and exciting plot….A Brilliant read!!!!!

Shape Shifting Romance

Synopsis
Alexandra Madison has discovered an invention that could change the world. When her partner is murdered and their lab destroyed, Alex knows she has to rebuild her prototype in time…

Donovan Shea knows the Madison project is of dire importance to the ongoing Pyr/Slayer war. So when he sees Alex being followed by a Slayer, he reacts and defends her, never imagining that she’s his destined mate…

As Slayers close in on their prey, Donovan knows he’ll surrender his life to protect Alex—and lose his heart to possess her…

My Review
Summary
Alex, has worked very hard to make the “Green Machine” happen, but then one tragic night, her lab is destroyed, and her partner tortured and then killed. She finds herself in the hospital, having dreams of Dragons, and then she finds herself being kidnapped by a breathtakingly handsome man where sparks happen whenever they touch. When she learns that he is a Dragon Shapeshifter, she is shocked, and can’t believe that such things are real. Alex is stubborn and is desperate to make the Green Machine become public known, but only with the help of Pyr, will she be able to make her dreams come true….and to hold onto a man who has stolen her heart….

The Hero
When Donovan Shea learns that Alex is his ‘Firestorm’, he is furious with those that knew and didn’t tell him. Now he has a woman that is always leaving him and his protection to retain information that is vital to the Green Machine. Donovan is a loner, and even though he is loyal to the Pyr and fights side by side with them, he knows who he really is. So at first he denies what he truly feels for Alex, but then he comes to the point where he doesn’t know if he could let her go, because she has stolen her way into his heart.

The Heroine
Alex, has devoted her life to the coming about of the Green Machine. When she see’s her lab destroyed, and her partner and friend killed brutally, she doesn’t know if she will be able to surving the coming storm. At first she wants to be indepenent and do things on her own, without the help of a alpha male who, it seems, is always furious with her. But a passion ignites and she only wants to surrender to the storm….

My Thoughts
I was looking for something new and different, a author I hadn’t read before, and I came across Deborah Cooke. I have a weakness for dragon shifter romances, so I knew when I read the blurb, I had to try it out. I have found a new favorite author. I just loved everything about this book, although I thought Alex could be too stubborn for her own good, and kind of an idiot thinking she can protect herself against dragons. But I really enjoyed the blossoming romance that develops between Donovan and Alex. There was a unique quality about the plot and the way this author weaves a beautiful story of adventure, passion, and love. I really loved Donovan, he seems so like a man of steel, but I just loved seeing how he weakens toward Alex and the way he treats her is so precious. I also enjoyed getting to know the other Pyr members, and I can’t wait to read more books from this author. A WINNER!!!
