Looking for the best kind of trouble? You’ve found it!

My Thoughts
Ever since I started reading this series, I fell in love with SEAL team 16 and all of their friends. As I have read each book in the series, I have grown to love each character, and I do love seeing my favorites in the latter books as well. This ARC was given to me through Edelweiss and Random House. This book was a easy to get into read, especially if you have read the previous books in the series (which I would recommend in this book, or you might get a bit lost). For those of you who have read some or all of the other books in the series….this e book will curl your toes in anticipation. We see quite a few of our favorite characters such as Jules, Sam, Alyssa, Robin, Max and Gina and quite a few of the others on SEAL team 16 as well as Tom Poletti. Headed For Trouble is a compilation of different novella’s that have been written in the past by Brockmann, but are neatly put together in this book. I was thrilled to see short stories of a few of my favorite characters such as Sam and Alyssa that really got my blood pumping with so much drama and suspense. There was also such a variety of what was combined with this book, not only were there quite a few novellas, there was interviews done by some favoured couples by Suzanne Brockmann (which I found to be very uniquely done, and at first I had my doubts, but I truly enjoyed read those–Probably one of my favorite aspects of the book 🙂 There was also such a emotional intensity throughout the variety of each short story as well that seemed to be so vividly portrayed, it instantly grabs your attention and takes you along for the ride. An irristiable addition to a suspense filled and passion grabber series by the queen of Romantic Suspense. BREATHTAKING!! Plus I can never resist such a HOT cover—-pure deliciousness!!

MY REVIEW
Summary:
Eden and Izzy once fell in love with each other, and even though they are married, are on the brink of a divorce. Since Izzy only married Eden because she was pregnant and he wanted to do the right thing, and then she miscarried and they serparated and lost in touch…until now…until a danger threatens the Gillman family, that would only bring Eden and Izzy closer together. Then we have Danny and Jenn, who fell in love in the previous books, but Jenn felt like they needed more than a few days to realize they love each other, however when Danny gets injured in a bomb blast, she starts to realize what is really important in life…and she knows that her life would never be fully complete without Danny in her life.

The Heroes (Danny Gillman and Izzy Zinella )
Danny and Izzy have really been mortal enemies ever since they met each other…Danny left his family when he was seventeen to join the Navy, and even though he has had some involvement he starts to come to the fact that he should have been there for Eden and his younger brother, who are both now in deep trouble, and only with him and Izzy’s help will they be able to help them against a threat they don’t see coming until its almost too late.

The Heroines (Jenn and Eden)
Jenn, even though she is recovering from a troubling childhood, she has overcome it and has learned to live a normal life, however she never thought she would be good enough for Danny. Eden, has suffered much in her young life, and no one apart from Ben her younger brother has ever really been on her side. Now with Ben’s life in danger, these two couples will band together to fight the evil that threatens them…

My Thoughts
Breaking The Rules would have to be one of my favorite books in the series so far!!! Ever since I read the lates one Hot Pursuit, we see the romance that blossoms between Jenn and Danny, and ever since then I have been aching for their continued story…so I was having such fun reading their love story….then Izzy and Eden….oh  Izzy has always made me laugh as we have seen him throughout the series and I was glad and hoping to see these two end up together..finally… they sure have had a rough time of it. However combined with two remarkable love stories that we see in this novel, there is fast paced action and so much intrigue and suspense it just might blow you away. I know it took everything I had just to sit back and listen to this story and not skip ahead, I felt like I was at the edge of my seat 90 percent of the time. But I was ended up feeling fully satisfied in the end…A Intense Read that I Just Fell In Love With!!!!! A Jewel! (FYI- For those of you who haven’t read this series and wonder if you can read it out of order…you can but I wouldn’t recommend it…I would recommend you read this series in order if you can, that way you won’t feel confused at times. )

Synopsis:
It’s Christmastime in Boston, and this year the silver bells will be wedding bells as FBI agent Jules Cassidy ties the knot with the man of his dreams, Hollywood heartthrob Robin Chadwick. The pair plan a quiet, intimate ceremony, to be witnessed by family and close friends from the FBI, SEAL Team Sixteen, and Troubleshooters, Incorporated, including Sam Starrett and Alyssa Locke. But the holiday season brings more to the happy couple than they expect: a waterfall coming through their kitchen ceiling, old family tensions, even an international incident. Add to that a parade of unexpected guests, including a reporter looking for a scoop, an ex-lover hell-bent on causing trouble, and a dangerous stalker, and suddenly the wedding is poised to unravel in chaos.

MY REVIEW

Summary:
All Through The Night is a book that takes place around Christmastime, in Boston, Massachusets. Where FBI agent Jules Cassidy becomes engaged to Robin Chadwick, the love of his life. Their plan for their wedding is a small ceremony with just family and close friends, with Sam Starret and his wife Alyssa. But then they receive the news that the President will be attending the wedding, and they have to move it from small and intimate to a large fiasco. But during their engagement, there are other problems that surface, that could put them both in danger and threaten them both. So now the Wedding could be thrown in Chaos.

The Heros
Robin Chadwick, a Hollywood star and a recovering alcoholic, hid from what he truly was, gay. Having grown up with his mother that was a drunk and would beat him, until he went to live with his father and his sister Jane. Then he became a famous actor, and could never stay with one woman and always had a drink in his hand, until he met Jules, who changed his life completely and showed him the power of true love, and now wants to be with him forever.

FBI Agent, Jules Cassidy, grew up in a positive home, close to his family who have always supported him in whatever decisions that he has made. However Jules has always been possessive and jealous of any man he has fallen in love with. And now when both his and Robin’s ex Adam, comes back into their lives, and with Robin’s new tv series, his possessive streak starts to show, and wonders how he can tell Robin how he truly feels. However Jules will come to the reality of how strong and stable Robin is in their unified love in each other.
My Thoughts
All Through The Night is my favorite of the Troubleshooter series, since I just love Jules and Robin, but most especially Jules. For most of the books we see him in them, so now we have his and Robins story, and their wedding (and I just love wedding stories) especially involving these two characters. There is also a subplot with their secretary and a research reporter, who has been captured by terrorists and knows how it is to be tortured, and manages to save Jule’s life. So in this wonderful Holiday story, we see the true power of love. This was definitely one of my favorite contemporary romances to read, and would recommend this one to anyone that loves a good romance that will bring out the best of stories!!

ISBN:  9780345480149

Synopsis: (goodreads)
Bestselling author Suzanne Brockmann blends high adventure, harrowing drama, and heart-racing passion into thrilling novels of suspense. Whether tackling danger or wrestling with desire, her elite heroes and heroines never fail to give their all, in stories that soar above and beyond expectations. Now, in her electrifying new novel, Brockmann takes us INTO THE STORM.

In a remote, frozen corner of New Hampshire, a Navy SEAL team and the elite security experts of Troubleshooters, Incorporated are going head-to-head as fierce but friendly rivals in a raid-and-rescue training exercise. Despite the frigid winter temperatures, tension smolders between veteran SEAL Petty Officer Mark “Jenk” Jenkins and former cop turned Troubleshooter Lindsey Fontaine after an impulsive night goes awry. And then, suddenly, Tracy Shapiro, the Troubleshooters’ new receptionist, vanishes while playing the role of hostage during a mock rescue operation.

Teaming up with the FBI to launch a manhunt in the treacherous wilderness, Jenk and Lindsey must put aside their feelings as a record snowstorm approaches, dramatically reducing any hope of finding Tracy alive. The trail is colder than the biting New England climate until a lucky break leads to a horrifying discovery–a brutally murdered young woman wearing the jacket Tracy wore when she disappeared. Suddenly there is a chilling certainty that Tracy has fallen prey to a serial killer–one who knows the backwoods terrain and who doesn’t play by the rules of engagement.

In a race against time, a raging blizzard, and a cunning opponent, Jenk and Lindsey are put to the ultimate test. Rising everything, they must finally come together in a desperate attempt to save Tracy–and each other.

MY REVIEW:
 Summary
Into The Storm is part of the Troubleshooters series, which begins with Petty Officer Mark Jenkins who liason with Tom Pelleti to organize a raid and rescue training exercise between the Seal Team 16 and the Troubleshooter team, and at first Jenk and Lindsey go head to head, and sparks are surely flying between the two. Lindsey Fontaine at first is attracted to Jenk, however when she notices that he is more attracted to the at first clumsy new receptionist Tracey Shapiro, she starts to despise the situation more, especially when it seems clear that he is extremely fond of her, but what she doesn’t know, is that Jenk wants her way more than Tracey but hasn’t fully realized it yet. But after they share one beautiful night together, things start to get more intense, which in a chain of events, Tracey Shapiro ends up in the hands of a serial killer, who likes to torture his women. So Jenk and Lindsey will have to work together to save Tracey from being sickly tortured by  a crazy killer.

The Hero:
Mark Jenkins has always had a crush on Tracey Shapiro, however the one woman that fascinated him is Lindsey Fontaine. Jenk is in the Seal Team 16 and absolutely loves his job, and is thrilled at the idea of Team 16 and the Troubleshooter team going head to head in a scenario to prove which one is best with Commander Cole and Commander Poletti at the helm of the teams. As things start to heat up between him and Lindsey he has found, that despite his crush on Tracey, Lindsey is the one that he truly wants in his life.

The Heroine
Lindsey Fontaine, a Ex Cop, and a extreme talented member of the Troubleshooter team is definitely looking forward to the next training exercise, which has caused a stir among everyone involved in the showdown. In this story we have two exercises, and in the first exercise Lindsey is the one that comes out on top and fools everyone including the high and mighty SEALs, and are impressed by her skills. But when Tracey gets kidnapped, Lindsey has to join with Jenk and try to find Tracey in a snowstorm with little hope of finding her, and Lindsey finds that what she has been looking for is right in front of her in the shape of Mark Jenkins.

My Thoughts:
Into The Storm was one book that I had yet to read out of all the Troubleshooters series, and I thought that I had read them all, but apparently I had missed one, and there are fifteen of them, but I truly loved reading Lindsey and Jenk’s story. I loved all the different sub plots in this book, that anyone that has read this series would know what I am talking about. It was also one of those books that have a fun and exciting plot, especially the first half of it, the second half was more danger intense. It was also good to have a reunion of sorts in this book, where we see the member of SEAL team 16 and all the members of Troubleshooters team, and we even have a appearance of Jules Cassidy who is my favorite of all the characters in this series. We have two other sub plots in this book, we have a story between Izzy Zinella and Tracey Shapiro, and then the other plot involved a young woman that is being tortured by the serial killer, so its a interesting point of story that we see and notice and sickening this certain character is, so that the suspense really fills up your mind when Tracey gets taken. All in all it was a exciting and thrilling adventure that had me on a roller coaster of ups and downs and filled with surprises that shocked me at times. Definitely a 5 on the scale!!!

Over The Edge

Suzanne Brockmann
Audio Book
Ballentine, 395 Pages
Published September 2001
Romantic Suspense
ISBN: 0345486412

Synopsis:
Suzanne Brockmann has taken romantic suspense by storm with her action-packed thrillers. Now she has written the most gripping novel of her career–an unforgettable story of an explosive hostage situation in which two people are caught between the call of duty and the lure of destiny.

Her passion is flying. As one of the best helicopter pilots in the naval reserves, Lieutenant Teri Howe is strong, dedicated, and highly skilled–until a past mistake surfaces, jeopardizing everything she’s worked for.

Rock steady Senior Chief Stan Wolchonok has made a career of tackling difficult challenges. So it’s no surprise when he comes to Teri’s aid, knowing that his personal code of honor–and perhaps his heart–will be at risk. But when a jet carrying an American senator’s daughter is hijacked, Stan’s unflinching determination and Teri’s steadfast courage are put to the ultimate test. The rescue mission will be daring and dangerous. But somewhere between peril and resolution, the line between friends and lovers begins to blur, pushing both their lives over the edge. . . .

My Review:
Lietenant Teri Howe, has always had a passion for flying ever since she was young. But she has a past that could put her career and her dreams down the toilet, until Senior Chief Stan Wolchonuck comes into the picture, and helps her out when she needed it. Now they are both in the task force for a mission to save those that are trapped on a plane by terrotists that hijacked it. However they must plan the take down of the plan down to every millisecond, so not to sacrifice any innocent lives. Teri is attracted to the Senior Chief, more so than Stan will ever admit. So believing that he is too old for her, and that she deserves someone better, despite his feeling, tries to set her up with Mike Muldoon, who is handsome yet a bit quiet when it comes to women, even though women flock to him. Though despite Stan’s efforts in trying to change Teri’s mind about him, they share some intimate moments that neither of them can deny, that they are falling in love with one another despite their current mission and the danger that is continuously circling them. Meanwhile we have a sub plot involving Sam Starret and Alyssa Locke, who have butted heads every time they see each other, except when they get kinda drunk they end up in bed together. But will these two couples find a balance in their quest for happiness for one another? And be able to complete the current mission at end?

Over The Edge, is a very intense romance. From beginnning to end we have these two couples, who at first deny what they feel for one another. As those of you who have read this series, Sam and Alyssa always but heads, however they also are very passionate especially with one another, and are afraid to admit the love they share, because it could change everything. Teri and Stan however, their situation is bit different. Stan genuinely cares for Teri, but to Teri’s continuous frustration with Stan (who keeps trying to set her up with another man), they start to admit one anothers feelings for each other, and admit that they are best when they are together and not separate. I found Over The Edge to be a satisfying read, albeit a suspensful one at that, but they always are when Suzanne Brockmann is at the helm. Over the Edge also introduces the start of another future relationship between Max Bagat and Gina, whom I have come to adore throughout this series. Over The Edge is intensifying, yet very romantic and definitely one you don’t want to miss out on reading, especially if you love romantic suspense fiction!! Suzanne Brockmann is the best of the best when it comes to romantic suspense and she will take you on a thriller ride with Over The Edge!!

Dark Of Night
Troubleshooters Series
Suzanne Brockmann
Ballentine, 418 Pages
Published January 2009
Romantic Suspense
ISBN: 0345501551

Synopsis:
Taking on the world’s deadliest criminals is what the elite security force Troubleshooters Incorporated does best. But now they face a new and powerful threat from their most lethal enemy yet – a shadowy government outfit known only as The Agency.

For years, operative James Nash has performed ultra-covert “Black Ops” missions for The Agency, but when he decides to walk away from their dirty work, his corrupt bosses aren’t about to let him go. After Nash is nearly assassinated, Troubleshooters team leader Lawrence Decker launches a skillful deception to neutralize the threat and protect his friend. With the FBI’s help, Decker fakes Nash’s death, then brings him to a safe house with his fiancee, Tess Bailey, to recover from his injuries and strategize their next move.

Only a handful of people know that Nash is still alive – and fellow Troubleshooters Dave Malkoff, Sophia Ghaffari, and receptionist Tracy Shapiro aren’t among them. Believing that Nash is dead and that Decker has begun a romantic relationship with Tess, Sophia settles for second best and begins a love affair with Dave, who has adored her for years. But Tracy puts two and two together, discovering the truth about Nash – much to Decker’s dismay.

As passions flare, Decker struggles to keep his scheme afloat, and to keep Nash alive. But when he finds himself targeted for death, the game turns even more perilous, and Sophia, Tracy, and Dave are swept into the deadly play. Under fire and racing to unmask their relentless adversary, the Troubleshooters know that the closer they get, the greater the risks. But sacrifices and consequences come with the territory. Forced to choose between love and loyalty, they are no longer just solving a crime – they’re fighting for survival.

My Review:

When Nash gets injured, in order to find those that are after him, Decker and Tess decide to fake his death, so it looks like Nash is truly dead. Nash is sorely injured and must take some time to recover before he can go out searching for those that want him killed. So with Jules Cassidy and his husband Robin’s help, they conceal Nash to a safe location that is more like a fortress than anything else. But when Decker goes to Tess and Jimmy’s apartment to collect some of Nash’s things, he comes across Tracey Shapiro, the receptionist for Troubleshooters, only she has figured out that Jimmy Nash is still alive, and knowing that he can’t afford to let her go, he plans on bringing her to the safe house, and basically hold her prisoner until the situation can be resolved. But what Decker never thought would happen is that he would find the attraction between him and Tracey to be quite explosive. Everyone else that Decker works with treats him like a God, invincible, but Tracey, doesn’t. Tracey, opinionated and stubborn fights with him every chance she gets, and he finds her irresistible to resist, and knows he is falling head over heels in love with this one woman that undermines all her defenses when it comes to finding happiness, despite the danger circling around them.

Dark Of Night we have the appearance of Nash, Decker and Tess Bailey. After being nearly killed and his fiancee put in danger, he knows he needs to find those who are after them at any cost, despite the fact that he is severely injured. But he also knows that he must confide in Tess over what he has truly done in his past, but is afraid that she will hate him for his past actions, and their love will be put to the test. Decker refuses to let more than a handful of people know that Nash is truly alive, so that they can find those that are out to assasinate him. But when he comes across Tracey Shapiro, he wonders if the enemy has also figured out the truth. But the more time he spends with Tracey, the more he realizes that she is more than she seems. Beautiful, smart, and able to get to the heart of him, he knows she is everything he could ever expect to find, and the key to his happiness that has always eluded him for many years. Dark of Night is the fourteenth in the Troubleshooters series, and I have found the Suzanne Brockmann just keeps getting better the more of the books that she writes, and I just loved being able to see Nash and Tess in Dark of Night, and see what happens when the truth comes out and how strong their love can be throughout the most hardest of trials that will test their love.

Published March 2004

ISBN: 0345472160

From unrelenting action to intense emotion, from high-stakes drama to break-neck pacing, New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Brockmann is a novelist who does it all. Now after her blockbuster hardcover debut, Gone Too Far, Brockmann delivers an exciting new thriller about men and women operating where agents of the U.S. government cannot, where America’s most ruthless enemies thrive—and where every step you take just might be your last. . . .

Jimmy Nash has already lived two lives—and he can’t talk about either of them. Formerly an operative of a top secret government agency, he has found a new job with a shadowy company called Troubleshooters Inc. Created by a former Navy SEAL, Troubleshooters Inc. helps anyone in desperate need—which provides a perfect cover for its other, more perilous objective: covert special operations.

Now Nash and a quickly assembled team of expert operators have come to the earthquake-ravaged country of Kazbekistan in the guise of relief workers. There, amid the dust and death, in a land of blood red sunsets and ancient blood feuds, they must track down a missing laptop computer that may hold secrets vital to national security.

To get it done, Nash does what he does best: break every rule in the book and manipulate those who can help him get what he needs. But this time, Nash may have met his match in Tess Bailey, an Troubleshooters operative with all the right instincts—and zero field experience. The deep attraction between them is immediate . . . and potentially explosive, with risk at every turn. Now these two professionals must play out their dangerous games in the world’s most dangerous place—cut off from their own government, cutting deals with people they can’t trust, and guarding forbidden passions that threaten to compromise their crucial mission.

A full throttle adventure teamed with heated emotion, Flashpoint proves that Suzanne Brockmann can spin suspense unlike any other author working today.

My Review:
Jimmy Nash has worked in a secret organization, the “Agency” where he has worked with his closest friend Decker. Nash and Decker both resign from the Agency, and Nash drops off of the map. But is then brought into a mission by Decker, a very dangerous yet a mission that is vital, and where one of their team members is none other than Tess Bailey, whom, used to work as tech support with the Agency, and where Tess and Jimmy shared a passionate night, but then Jimmy disappeared. Now they are supposed to work together on a dangerous mission in Kezbekistan one of the most dangerous terrorists hot spots. But there has been a severe earthquake, and they are allowing relief workers into the country. So they are to take advantage of this opportunity, and to get vital data that could save lives. Jimmy is against having Tess go along on the mission, even though her skills are perfect, and she is always wanted to be a field operative. Now both of them are put on a dangerous mission that could cost them their lives if they were found out. So they have to pose as husband and wife, which has them both reliving the passion they once shared with one another, and quite explosive. When things start to get dicey, and they find that they will have to fight for their lives, they rely on each other and the new found love they have discovered and know they must fight with every breath to hold onto it.

Flashpoint, I finished listening to a little while ago, and just remembered that I hadn’t written the review, so I thought that I should do that while I still remember impressions that I had on this one. Flashpoint is a bit different as in none of the main characters are SEAL team members. Will Jimmy and Tess having both worked for a black op division for the government, they are more alive than either of them realize. Tess is a whiz with hacking and anything electrical and computerized, and is more than ecstatic at this mission, however despite her deep feelings for Jimmy, she knows having to pose as his wife will be more challenging than she ever would realize, for she is in love with a man that has a but load of secrets, that could never share them with her. So now they they are both put in the Terrorist Hot Spot they come to realize how much they truly care for each other. Flashpoint, is a intense and thrilling read, full of romance and passion with all the danger and suspense that Brockmann puts in her exciting novels. Definitely one you don’t want to miss out on, and this author definitely delivers with Flashpoint!!!

Hot Target
Troubleshooters Series

Published November 2005
Romantic Suspense
ISBN: 0345456955

Synopsis:
New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Brockmann knows exactly what makes hearts race and pulses pound: peril and passion. No one succeeds more brilliantly at blending these exhilarating elements in breathtaking novels of men and women forced to grapple with the deepest emotions and the highest risks. And there’s no better proof than her new novel of suspense: Hot Target aims to thrill on every level.

Like most men of action, Navy SEAL Chief Cosmo Richter never learned how to take a vacation. So when he finds himself facing a month’s leave, he offers his services to Troubleshooters Incorporated. Founded by a former SEAL, the private-sector security firm is a major player in the ongoing war against terrorism, known for carrying out covert missions too volatile for official U.S. military action. But the first case Richter takes on is anything but under the radar.

High-profile maverick movie producer Jane Mercedes Chadwick hasn’t quite completed her newest film, but she’s already courting controversy. The World War II epic frankly portrays the homosexuality of a real-life hero–and the storm of advance media buzz surrounding it has drawn the fury of extremist groups. But despite a relentless campaign of angry E-mails, phone calls, and smear tactics, Chadwick won’t be pressured into abandoning the project. Then the harassment turns to death threats.

While the FBI appears on the scene, nervous Hollywood associates call in Troubleshooters, and now Chadwick has an army of round-the-clock bodyguards, whether she likes it or not. And she definitely doesn’t. But her stubbornness doesn’t make FBI agent Jules Cassidy’s job any easier. The fiercely independent filmmaker presents yet another emotional obstacle that Cassidy doesn’t need–he’s already in the midst of a personal tug-of-war with his ex-lover, while fighting a growing attraction to Chadwick’s brother.

Determined to succeed–and survive–on her own terms, Chadwick will face off with enemies and allies alike. But she doesn’t count on the bond she forms with the quiet, capable Cosmo Richter. Yet even as their feelings bring them closer, the noose of deadly terror all around them draws tighter. And when all hell erupts, desire and desperate choices will collide on a killing ground that may trap them both in the crossfire.

My Review:
Navy SEAL Cosmo Richter, finds himself having one month’s leave from the team, so he decides that while he is in San Diego, he can be helping his mother, who was injured, and to help the Troubleshooter team, on his first case, which is to protect the movie producer Jane Chadwick, who has had threats put on her life, based on the most current movie that she is producing, which has caused her to be threatened by extremist groups. Janie doesn’t want to believe that the threats and emails are real, and hates the fact that her bosses hired a protective detail to protect her when she doesn’t feel that there is a real threat. However as the danger escalates, she starts to come to the realization that there is someone out there that does want her killed, and knows that this team can protect her and are more than willing to do so, especially when things get heated between Janie and Cosmo. Jules Cassidy, a FBI Agent, is also involved on this case, and is put in a unteniable position when he meets Janie’s brother Robin Chadwick, who doesn’t want to admit that he is a alcoholic and gay, and whom has never been able to stay with someone longer than one evening. With these two plots, you will find yourself unable to stop reading the next page, and flipping them as fast as you can read them.

Hot Target was a delicious and suspenseful read, that is knocked my socks off. Again with this series, I decided to listen to these on my Ipod, and I just loved this one. This is the second time I have read Hot Target, and I just loved getting into the story involving Cosmo and Jules. With Cosmo, has always been one of the SEALs on team 16 that has been more withdrawn, has great talent, but this is the first where we truly get to know this character, and I found it delightful to start to delve into him. Cosmo is one of my favorites out of all the SEALS, and those of you who have read Hot Target would understand. Cosmo is the kind of character, that hides himself more than not, but is strong and capable at what he has most talent in. So now we have a more of the quiet SEALs on Team 16, involved with a very famous producer with camera’s in her face all the time. But Janie is not what Cosmo ever expected to see beneath the surface, and finds that he can’t resist her, and finds himself falling for the stunning movie producer. Now to the other plot, involving my favorite of all the characters in this whole series Jules Cassidy. I have always been on his side, and Hot Target begins when he first meets Robin Chadwick, who plays a gay role in a movie, and starts to come to the realization that he could be gay, and that Jules excites him more than anything ever has. However Jules having been hurt before, doesn’t want to be hurt again, knowing that he could easily fall for the hot actor in a flash. Hot Target is a sensation read that will pull at your heart strings, and lead you on a roller coaster ride that you will never regret. Filled with action, romance, and an intensity that will have you breathing just a little faster than normal, Hot Target will leave you in suspense until the very end!!

Book Review-Breaking Point

Breaking Point
Troubleshooters Series

Published July 2006
Romantic Suspense
ISBN: 0345480139

Synopsis:

At the scene of the attack, however, Max learns that Gina is still very much alive–and in jeopardy. A ruthless killer is bent on using Gina and a colleague, Molly Anderson, to bait a deadly trap. His quarry? Grady Morant, a.k.a. “Jones,” a notorious ex — Special Forces operative turned smuggler who is willing to forfeit his own life to save Molly, the woman he loves. Together with Max’s top agent, Jules Cassidy, the unlikely allies plunge into a global hot zone of violence and corruption, embarking on a rescue mission of deadly proportions.

My Review:

Breaking Point is the ninth installment in the Troubleshooters series. It starts out when Max Bhagat lets the love of his life Gina, to go to Africa, and out of his life, despite his strong feelings for her. But when he hears that she has been killed in Harmburg Germany, he goes to Germany along with Jules Cassidy to identify the body, however when he arrives he finds out that the body isn’t Gina, its someone else. Through the investigation, a man who is hunted by mostly every government in the world, Grady Morant, AKA “Jones” comes to him for help in finding those that have kidnapped Gina and his wife Molly Anderson. So despite his brain telling him he can’t afford to trust Grady, in his heart he knows its the only way to find Gina, the one who has mattered to him more than anything or anyone else ever has before. So they head to one of the most dangerous countries known, hot zone, to rescue the two women that matter to these men, and who will rescue them at any cost to themselves and their future.

Breaking Point just like her other books, is filled with adventure and suspense. There are two story lines to Breaking Point however one is in the past and one is in the present. The past story line covers more of Gina and Max’s intimate relationship and leads to why they are separated now. Then it takes us to Gina and Molly’s time in Kenya, where they are reunited with Jones AKA Grady Morant, and which leads to the present day, to the kidnapping of these two women, in search of Grady Morant, from a drug lord who has been after him for many years, where his past comes to haunt him and Max as well. But with Jules Cassidy at their side, they go to one of the most dangerous hot spots in the world, to rescue the two innocent bystanders, but will they make it out of the “Hot Spot” alive and together and with a future to go back to? I was thoroughly satisfied with Breaking Point. This is part of the spectacular Troubleshooters series and a intense world that Suzanne Brockmann has created for her readers to delight in. There aren’t really any problems with this one, although it got kinda annoying at times with the different time plots, which would switch at intense moments, and I had the extreme urge to skip through, but since I was listening to this audio style, I decided I needed to restrain myself, and I was grateful that I did, because it helped me to know the background of Gina and Max especially whom I have been rooting for since Over The Edge came into the picture and we see the start of their relationship has been a bit rocky, but its genuine and real. We also get to see Jones and Molly whom we have seen in Out Of Control, but have been seperated until Breaking Point and how they find it safe enough to get back together and married even, so this was a sensational and intense packed read that I found myself having a trying time to put my Ipod down because I became so involved with the story, plus a bonus is a great narrator who I found is common throughout the series of Audio of this series, and portrays the action scenes and the tender emotions portrayed throughout these astrounding romances that will leave you at the edge!!

Synopsis
Alyssa Locke is no stranger to dealing with danger. As team leader of the nation’s number one personal security company, Troubleshooters Inc., she’s seen more than her share of action, survived plenty of close calls, and holds her own with the best of them–and against the worst of them. Guarding lives is her game, and no one plays it better. But her toughest challenge will be protecting herself from a serial killer she’s been after for years–known only as “The Dentist”–who is determined to make her his ultimate trophy.

The assignment was supposed to be an easy one: teach self-defense techniques to a newly elected assemblywoman and her chief of staff after a political controversy generates a blizzard of hate mail–including death threats–from hotheads and cranks. But as soon as she mobilizes her squad of moonlighting Navy SEALs in New York City, Alyssa begins butting heads with the hard-case cop who thinks that the Troubleshooters are chasing shadows.

Until they discover a dead body. And then another. Now Alyssa really has her hands full–bodyguarding two independent, busy women, managing a murder investigation, and trying to find time for her husband, Troubleshooters operative Sam Starrett, and their infant son. Meanwhile, it wouldn’t be a Troubleshooters operation without romantic sparks and heated rivalries–and any time the SEALs of Team Sixteen are involved, there are plenty of both.

But then, while investigating a suspect, Alyssa is ambushed and suddenly finds herself imprisoned by The Dentist. Cut off from everyone she loves and relies on, Alyssa must call upon all of her strength and skill to survive this final confrontation with the sadistic monster, meanwhile trusting that her Troubleshooter teammates, led by her beloved Sam, will reach her before it’s too late.

My Review:
Hot Target is the fifteenth of the Troubleshooters series written by Suzanne Brockmann. The way that I read this one was through audio, and is the usual form of reading I do for Brockmann’s books, especially the Troubleshooters series. I have just loved being able to get into these wonderful stories. Hot Pursuit begins with Alyssa Locke and her husband Sam Starret get involved in this story. Where they are to protect a important political figure and her staff, after receiving some serious threats, and this being a close friend to Savannah who is married to one of the SEALs on the Troubleshooters team. Also joining the brigade is a close friend Jules Cassidy, an agent in the FBI and one of Alyssa’s closest friends. However throughout this story we also see a couple other side stories involving Izzy Zinella and Danny Gillman, who are also on the Troubleshooters teams and SEALS. In Hot Pursuit, a man referred to as the “Dentist” has been haunting Alyssa and Jules for years. But when deaths start to occur that give clues that he is back, Alyssa has a feeling that she is the target, and that with her husbands and the rest of the teams help, to outwit the one who has evaded them since Alyssa got involved in his case which has been for many years. So hold on to your seat as you go on a thrilling adventure and see some of your favorite characters from this astounding Troubleshooters Series!!

I just love being able to read this book, it was such a wonderful one!! However this is not my first time being able to listen to it. I just recently started a challenge to read the whole Troubleshooters Series, and so this was the first book available so I started to read it “Audio” style. But out of all of the books in this series, Hot Pursuit is the one that resembles a Sherlock Holmes novel more than her usual romantic suspense plots, however despite that, it added a certain spice to the series, that I would love to see more of. It left me in suspense the whole way through, with surprises along the way that I didn’t expect, even though it was my second time reading it. I also enjoyed the side stories involving the two SEALs that we have come to love, Izzy and Gillman, who have always been at each others throats for the most part, however we start to see their personal stories to come through, and both leaving me in suspense and wondering what is going to happen in the next book involving these two. I can hardly wait!! So if your looking for a romance with a thrilling plot, a mystery that needs solving, and few romances between some of our favorites, hop on and enjoy the ride that will take your breath away!!
